There are plenty of reasons to love fall in Door County, from vibrant autumn foliage to crisp mornings and fireside nights. But for one weekend every October, Sister Bay turns things up a notch.
Sister Bay Fall Fest returns for its 80th anniversary October 16–18, the unofficial-official sign that autumn is in full swing. For three days, downtown is filled with live music, local food and drink, and more than 100 vendors at the Arts & Crafts Fair.
Saturday brings the annual Fall Fest Parade and pancake breakfast, while Sunday keeps the tradition going with the Derby Race and the highly anticipated Ping Pong Ball Drop.
In other words, there’s a lot happening and plenty of reasons to make a weekend of it. When you stay at The Dörr, it all happens just steps from your room.

Even though Fall Fest may be the reason you come, October in Door County gives you plenty of reasons to stay a little longer. Give yourself an extra day to take the scenic route through Peninsula State Park, explore the area’s fall color hotspots, unwind at a vineyard or two, or enjoy a quieter morning in Sister Bay once the weekend festivities wind down.
Fall Fest only comes around once a year, and staying in the middle of it all makes it even easier to experience.
