In mid to late May, Door County’s most famous botanical feature shows its true wonderful colors. Over 2,500 acres of cherry orchards all turn a myriad of colors from white to pink along with the yellow and blue wildflowers. It’s always island time
The county doesn’t stop when the land meets the water. Some of the most highly recommended experiences comes from taking a ferry across the “Port de Morts,” or “Death’s Door” to Washington Island and Rock Island. Take a dip, hike or plenty of pictures at either of these gems past the peninsula.
